CountryItaly
LevelBachelor’s, master’s

In Italy every region has its own right-to-study (DSU) agency: ER.GO in Emilia-Romagna, ARDIS in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, DSU Toscana in Tuscany, EDISU in Piedmont, DiSCo in Lazio, and so on. These scholarships are awarded based on family income and assets, and international students can apply too. Many of our students study in Italy with exactly these scholarships.

What does it cover?

  • Full or partial tuition waiver
  • Annual grant (several thousand euros; depends on the region and family income)
  • Dormitory place or housing allowance
  • Discounted or free meals

Who can apply?

  • Students admitted to an Italian university or in the admission process
  • Those whose family income and asset indicators are below the threshold set by the region
  • From the second year: those who have earned the required number of credits (CFU)

Required documents

  • The agency’s online application form
  • Documents showing family income and assets (for calculating the ISEE parificato; with official translation and legalisation)
  • Certificate of family composition
  • Passport, proof of university admission or pre-enrolment

Application period

Each region has its own application calendar; in most cases applications take place in July–September. Preparing and certifying family documents in Azerbaijan takes time, so it is best to start in the spring.

How does Hogwart Academy help?

Most mistakes in DSU applications are made in the family documents. We go through it with you step by step: which documents are needed, in what form and with what certification, and how to fill in the application form correctly. This is the area where we have the most experience.
